Revolutionizing Loving Media locally & beyond
We choose to intentionally amplify and prioritize BIPOC, Women/Femme (especially trans and GNC), LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, immigrants, refugees, low-income, working-class, and unsheltered individuals in Rev Love Media efforts and organizing.
Leading a collective vision in having faith and trust that people can transform themselves, each other, and in turn our communities. By learning from practice in both direct and indirect experience. That meets communities where they are at and learns about how they understand the world, needs and barriers they face. As well as what they would like to see happen and how they imagine that process.
Helping communities sum up their experiences through the use of media while incorporating intersectionality by understanding social forces in relation to social privilege in our efforts.
Connect community to the resources, services, tools, etc. that allow a collective and personal vision to flourish.
Rev Love Media is dedicated to informing and educating on community-based efforts of the greater Salt Lake area as well as the promotion of local artists, organizations, and collectives.
Our focus centers on communities from all walks of life and documenting the voices of historically marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented community members through the use of storytelling and story sharing.
We envision a Salt Lake community where every voice is heard and valued, and where storytelling becomes a catalyst for change.
By centering the narratives of historically marginalized individuals, we strive to challenge biases, advocate for their needs, and cultivate a more inclusive and supportive environment.
Based in the Salt Lake Valley, Revolutionary Love Media acknowledges that this region has always been a sacred gathering place for Indigenous peoples. This land, named for the Ute Tribe, is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Shoshone, Paiute, Goshute, Ute, and Diné (Navajo) peoples. We honor their sovereignty, enduring stewardship, and continued presence in our communities.
As a grassroots media collective committed to transformative storytelling and movement building, we recognize that our work exists within ongoing histories of colonization. We also acknowledge the interconnected struggles of Indigenous and displaced peoples globally. Through our media, organizing, and education efforts, we aim to build solidarity across movements and geographies, and to support the reclamation of land, rights, and narrative agency.
This acknowledgment is not a substitute for action, it is a call to deepen our practice, foster relationships, and sustain solidarity.
Revolutionary Love Media (RLM) began during the first Tr*mp administration as Red Lotus Media, born from West Valley community members organizing around #DefendDACA, the DREAM Act, and TPS protections. During the COVID-19 pandemic, RLM expanded its work through mutual aid, PPE distribution, and supporting local efforts that helped shape its identity and infrastructure.
Now Rev Love Media a grassroots media collective rooted in multifaceted frameworks. Through storytelling, political education, and coalition building, connecting to communities at-large.
